Customs & Border Protection has announced an adjustment on the limitations of the Merchandise Processing Fees or “MPF”. The increase is by 2.677 % which will be reflected in an increase as followed:

Customs & Border Protection has announced an adjustment on the limitations of the Merchandise Processing Fees or “MPF”. The increase is by 2.677 % which will be reflected in an increase as followed:

Current minimum of $ 25.00 Dllrs to $ 25.67 Dllrs. Per Entry

Current maximum of $ 485.00 Dllrs. to $ $497.99 Dllrs per Entry.

The adjustment will be implemented on all Import shipment starting on January 1, 2018. The MPF applies on imports of foreign goods that do not qualify under a Special Tariff Treatment such as NAFTA.

Aduanas y Proteccion Fronteriza a anunciado un ajuste del 2.677 % en los limites establecidos para la cuota de proceso de mercancía o “MPF” por sus siglas en ingles. El minimo y máximo se ajustaría de la siguiente manera:

Minimo actual de  $25.00 a $ 25.67 Dllrs. Por entrada.

Máximo actual de $485.00 a $ 497.99 Dllrs. Por entrada.

El ajuste entrara en efecto a partir del dia 1ro de Enero del 2018. El “MPF” se aplica en aquellas mercancías foráneas que sean importadas y no califican bajo tratados preferenciales como es el caso del TLC o Nafta
